By Train

Metrolink and Amtrak are the companies that serve the city, offering travelers various rail routes outside Riverside. It is not the cheapest option to travel outside the city, but it is often used by locals and visitors.

By Car

Like most Southern Californians, the Riverside people rely on their own car and most of the times to get around the city, means to ruin your day, because of the traffic. If you do need to drive to get somewhere in the city (or outside) it is best to avoid driving on Arlington and Magnolia Avenues, because the traffic on these streets may seem interminable, especially during rush hour.
